As the exchange grows, Coinbase has received a license to provide crypto asset services in Italy. The publicly traded cryptocurrency exchange now satisfies the updated standards set by the Italian regulatory body Organismo Agenti e Mediatori, according to a blog post published on Monday. It asserts to be one of the first businesses to achieve these standards. International and Business Development VP Nana Murugesan said, “Gaining this regulatory approval is a testament to our close collaboration and positive working relationship with the Italian financial regulators,” He also added, “As we continue to grow across Europe and other regions, maintaining our solid regulatory relationships will ensure that we will continue to bring to market the products that our customers want through the most trusted and secure platform in the crypto economy.” Coinbase Conducts Business In Ireland The US-based cryptocurrency exchange unveiled efforts earlier this month to increase its footprint in the United Kingdom and continental Europe. Some of these are meeting politicians in the UK, establishing a regional center in Ireland, and extending its reach throughout the area.
